This blog follows the life of my Primary school through each day from the late 19th century to the present day. 
I have been given the school log book and been asked to transfer the diary onto disk. It starts in September 1898 and finishes July 1947. I will use this and also compare it to the life in school at the moment.
I will post about the the school activities that are happening now and see what the school children were doing on the same day in a different year all the way back to the 1890's.

ReplyDeleteOur school log books are of a similar age and they are fascinating - I always think we should keep log books today.
No-one would ever believe some of the things that happen in a school!

ReplyDeleteOh How fascinating. I once had my hands on the log in the local village school where I worked. My Grandmother was born on the day the Church was opened and all the children went to the school so it was family history too.
